This is a blog about the educational experience of a middle school teacher. While this blog is mostly on educational topics, I do also share things about life outside of the classroom. Occasionally, I accept guest posts, very rarely do reviews of websites or products. However, I'm not opposed to accepting a free trip to Disneyland for my husband and myself. True Fact: My husband, who is 50 years old & has lived in California his whole entire life, has never been to Disneyland. You would not believe the conversation I had with some 8th-graders yesterday. We were reading the short story "The Body in the Driveway" which involves a peeping tom and one of the kids came out with the statement that "80% of all rapists are gay."
I did what I could to set them straight, but the homophobia is so ingrained it's unbelievable.
