I'm becoming one of those people . . .

who can talk before large groups of people without shaking in my boots!

I used to be in awe of people who could get up and speak before crowds of people. I remember that I would think to myself that it was something I would never be able to do.

I've overcome this fear, but don't expect me to overcome my fear of heights. I'll never be someone who jumps out of planes.

Not even for a million bucks . . . . well, maybe.

I'm not surprised. When you have knowledge and passion (which you do--in spades) the rest seems to come naturally.

Go, you!

Like Jenn said, knowledge and passion makes a huge difference. I have no problem speaking to large groups about something I love. When it is about something I am not 100% jazzed about ( you know, like representing your group at some PD class) then I just dive in and get it over with.

I'm better at it than I was, but still shake in my boots!! (before--during I'm OK)

I am still oneo of the shakers, but I can see that if you just tackle it you will find it is not all that bad. I just don't have to do it often enough myself.
