Follow up on a post

Remember this post about trusting your gut? Well, I wrote a follow up article over at Learn Me Good. I had forewarned him that this post was a little darker than his usual fare, but he agreed to host it on his site.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the comments left by his readers. They have really made me feel better about this situation.

You are a caring and sensitive human being. Some teachers would never have picked up on the fact that something was going on, or would not have known how or made the effort to deal with it. You give yourself a hug from me.

You did everything you could. It is her parents that dropped the ball. How could they not think that her teachers needed to know something (they didn't have to provide details) traumatic had happened to her, so the teachers could work with her before she failed 2 classes. Honestly!

As what i have expected. How come students don't value the teachers. They were the one who serve as their second parent.
